Juliana Fruhling

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Juliana is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Counsellors. She has certifications in and/or has received additional training in Collaborative Divorce Coaching, Parental Alienation and Re-Unification, OEI Intensive Trauma Treatment, Satir Transformational Systems Therapy, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Neufeld Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

As a Family Systems and EFT therapist primarily, Juliana believes in working within the systems: individual, couple and family systems as well as generational and cultural systems to help nurture change and growth in each individual, and in the importance of focusing on the wellness of the holistic self as crucial to helping create wellness within relationships and families.

John Bablitz

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

John’s work centres on a positive relationship that empowers clients to be themselves, and appreciates their inner strengths and weaknesses. John specializes in work with couples, families and adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, addictions and chronic illness, and he has spent many hours working with children in various settings. John also offers collaborative divorce coaching and Birkman psychological assessment. 

John prefers to work in the moment with whatever his client brings to session, applying principles from emotionally focussed therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, Satir transformational therapy, and internal family systems techniques. John’s training is in family systems therapy, which understands that we exist within the context of our family and close relationships, both past and present.

Betty Lau

MA-MFT, RCC

ASSOCIATE

Betty enjoys working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues, social issues, school issues, personal goals coaching, parenting, and family challenges. She speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Betty understands that individuals and families seek counselling support because they are looking for changes that can improve their current situations. She has a deep appreciation of the struggles and challenges individuals and families may face in new environments and life stages. Betty believes in the inherent strengths that individuals and families possess, and the powerful effect such strengths can bring when clients are able to access them.

In her work with her clients, Betty aims to use a gentle, client-centred approach in helping clients achieve their goals. She has experience in working with individuals, couples, families, and teenagers. Her training and therapeutic approach include Attachment-based therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and the Satir Change Model. Betty holds a B.Sc. degree from UBC and MAMFT degree from TWU. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Betty專長於幫助她的服務對象了解及處理包括焦慮、抑鬱、壓力管理、人際關係、社交、學校、個人目標和方向、育兒、和家庭挑戰等問題。Betty能說粵語,普通話/國語,和英語。

Betty明白服務對象尋求諮詢的原因是因為他們想改善他們當前的狀況。她對人在新環境和生命階段面臨的挑戰有著深刻的理解。Betty相信每個人都擁有內在的力量,而當那個人能夠連繫並使用這些力量時,他/她便能處理並跨過所遇到的困難。接受心理咨詢是找到這些力量並解決挑戰的方法之一,而Betty熱衷於幫助她的服務對象找到屬於他/她的獨特方法。

在工作服務中,Betty採用溫和,以服務對象為中心的方法。她的經驗範圍包括服務個人、夫妻、家庭、和青少年。她的治療方法包括基於依附理論的治療,遊戲治療,情緒取向治療(EFT),Gottman治療法和薩提爾模式 (Satir Model)。

除了在本診所外,Betty還擔任溫哥華沿岸衛生局和省衛生局的心理諮詢師。Betty是UBC的生物和心理學理科學士,和TWU的家庭及婚姻治療碩士。她亦是BC省心理咨詢師協會(BCACC)的註冊臨床心理咨詢師。

Tiffany Jay

MA-MFT, RCC

ASSOCIATE

Tiffany is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Counsellors and has a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She works primarily from an Attachment and Family Systems approach in which the individual does not live in isolation, but is impacted by the relationships that they grew up with and currently have. She uses these frameworks to help unpack experiences and emotions and promote healing and growth. Tiffany has experience and training in Child-centered Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Premarital Counselling using the PREPARE/ENRICH program.

Tiffany enjoys working with children and families, individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns, such as emotional distress and regulation (anxiety, depression, grief and loss), relational conflicts, parenting support, family dynamics, traumatic experiences, life stage transitions, stress management, self-worth and personal growth. Tiffany aims to bring an empathetic, non-judgmental presence to help build safety and authenticity. She believes that you are the expert of your life and wants to come alongside you to help you find healing, growth and wholeness in your journey.
