A MIND-BODY CONNECTION RETREAT FOR WOMEN
From February 13th to 15th, 2026
Disconnection within the self is a huge issue today - it can result in depression, anxiety, perpetuating effects of trauma, difficulty sleeping and digesting, numbness and apathy, amongst many other individual symptoms.
Fall Into Your Self is our love letter to women -- an invitation to pause and turn inward. Together, in a supportive small community of women, we will explore where we have outgrown old stories, expectations, and ways of being. Through yoga, mindfulness, and counselling therapeutic practices, we’ll honour what has shaped us, but gently let go of what we’ve been carrying and no longer serves us, and reconnect with the depths of wisdom within us. Join us in cozy Linwood House, within the lush forest cathedral of Roberts Creek, BC, immersed in centuries-old pine groves, bird song and the deeply connective quiet of nature. As the trees release their leaves to rebuild their inner resources, we too will integrate the lessons of the seasons past and make space for rest, clarity and new possibility.
Included: Individually-themed and boutique hotel-style rooms, organic farm-to-table meals, self-care gift package, sessions by the massive stone fireplace and in the yoga studio.

Testimonials
“I arrived expecting a simple yoga retreat, but what I experienced was something far deeper — a truly healing and bonding journey with an incredible group of women. The venue itself felt like a sanctuary: surrounded by trees, a gentle creek nearby, comfortable rooms, and a real wood‑burning fireplace that brought all the elements together for rest and renewal. The nourishing, delicious soul food prepared by the chef added so much comfort and care to the experience.
Anilā and Julia were exceptional, complementary facilitators who held space with genuine warmth, love, and kindness. Their guidance made it easy for each of us to feel safe, open up, and connect through our individual healing journeys.
I sincerely hope there will be follow‑up one‑day check‑ins or seasonal/bi‑annual gatherings. The timing of this retreat — early February — was perfect for thawing out, resetting, and setting a positive, healing tone for the year ahead.”
Each of our separate journeys on this earth can result in emotional injury and blockages within our systems that can emerge in unhelpful ways in our work life, our relationships, our families, our communities, and beyond. Depression and Anxiety are on the rise as a result, and one of the foremost causes of these illnesses is disconnection - disconnection between mind and body, soul, spirit. We often numb out to cope, instead of finding healing through integrating our whole selves and discovering our own strength and resiliency.
Reconnection, integration, balance and wholeness are key. Within the beautiful, natural environment of British Columbia’s Linwood House, come reconnect your body, mind, soul and spirit at a retreat which combines a nervous-system healing yoga practice with trauma-informed systemic group and individualized therapeutic techniques. Anila and Juliana have developed a modality which combines systemic and somatic therapy with trauma-informed yoga to create a safe experience that invites you to explore both your lightness and your heaviness and engage in beginning the journey with us towards integrating the whole, to be the best self you can be.

Retreat FAQs
Do I need to have any yoga experience?
No - all skill levels and abilities are welcome. Our retreat will leave plenty of room for those with little to no experience, and also those who have more experience and wish to push themselves.
What do I need to bring?
You will receive a registration package via email which will tell you in more detail what you need to bring.
How will I get a feel for if this will be a safe space, with safe people?
Before the retreat we will meet via Zoom as a collective of all those who have registered. If it feels like an unsafe space in any way we would invite you to address that with us leaders afterwards, and if it still doesn’t feel right or we can’t find a way to make it safer for you, you are welcome to withdraw from the retreat with a full refund.
How many participants will be in attendance?
In order to move ahead with the retreat we will need between 10-12 participants. If we have less than 10 registered we may have to cancel the retreat. In this instance notice will be given via email and each registrant will receive a full refund.

Anila Lacroix
E-RYT500, YACEP
An experienced yoga teacher and teacher trainer who has taught a wide variety of yoga styles for the last 20 years, Anilā brings her tender yet powerful presence into every encounter, whether clinical or personal. Her intuitive, peaceful and insightful nature provides soul-calm and steadiness, while her mischievous spirit evokes lovely, deep, bubbling chuckles and a twinkle in her eye that creates a sense of safety and connection for all those around her.
She was a teacher trainer with YYoga for their 200- and 500-hour programs, and for the Salt Spring Center of Yoga(SSCY) for their 200-hour program. She is now a Legacy Lululemon Ambassador who is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. She is also a research assistant at the UBC Sexual Health Lab and a research collaborator at the UBC Motivated Cognition Lab. In addition to her yoga therapy community outreach, her trauma-informed training came through personal experience, gained after a couple of car collisions and a lengthy injury. Anilā's vast and practical knowledge of the mind-body systems, combined with her ability to observe and gently suggest new possibilities, inspires healing and trust in all who have worked and learned with her. Her dedication to these practices was instrumental in helping her regain strength, functional mobility and cognitive adaptability after years of rehabilitation and physical therapy. She now weaves meditation, breathing practices, and ancient teachings into her everyday conversations, so that mind, body, and spirit have something to learn and nurture.
Anilā is a single mom to two sons and their trusty companion, Sage the Dog.
